Sonny has been with me for a week now and he is doing well. He is a very sweet boy and loves to be petted. He has not had any accidents in the house or crate.
He does like to play with stuffies. He is a little pushy about getting petted. He wants all your attention. He gets along well with the other 3 greys in my house. He is very interested in the cats but may be correctable. He sleeps out of the crate at night in my room on a bed on the floor. He sleeps all night long and no
problems. When he is in the crate during the day he crys a little when I leave but does quiet down. He will make a very nice hound for some lucky family.

Foster Sonny Update

Hello hound lovers, it is foster Sonny once again.  Did you catch the FOSTER
in front of my name? I am looking for someone to call me Sonny.

As you know, dad calls me Tater from napping on the couch. Hope you don't mind if I nap
on yours. I met the little jack russel terrier from next door yesterday. I was really interested
but only to give him kisses and wanted to play. The cats caugh my eye more than dad
liked so we had to leave. I can also help with the following.

Loading the dish washer:
Unloading the washing machine:
Folding clothes:
Pulling clothes off the ironing board:
Giving you wet nose kisses when you get out of the shower: (-:
Jumping on the bed when the morning alarms goes off to make sure your awake:
Checking all the food bowls to search for a dropped kibble.
Help you clean the nose prints off the doors so I can add more later.

See, I am just the normal hound that is STILL looking for my forever home.

Foster Sonny.......

Hello hound lovers! Foster Sonny once again and I must update my blog.

Lately the weather has been nice so we have been walking around the neighborhood.
I am learning to walk politely on lead and not pull. I learned quickly if I pull foster dad
will turn and go the other way. I don't like that so I am learning to walk by his side. When
we stop I like to lean against his leg. We saw a kitty and a few other dogs on our walk. I would
whine a little and try to pull but firm NO with a gentle pull on the lead and we were walking again. I would look back and another NO and a I would walk next to him. I understand the
word stop on walks now. Foster dad says I am very smart and learn fast! I discovered things
like road signs and mail box post that other dogs had visited and also tried to eat a rock that
was removed from my mouth. Hey, it was something new I had never seen and thought it might
be a treat. Did I mention I love liver treats?

I am only two so I can be a little active but in a good way. I love to lean, give kisses and
happy play so foster dad thinks I need to be with children over eight.

Foster parents have been doing that they call away testing, what ever that means. They said with or without the resident hounds present, when they leave I might whine or roo a little
for a few minutes but will settle down for a long nap in my crate. I don't know why but we fosters are always crated when the parents are gone. It must be some kind of rule of something.
When they are home I nap in the couch or on my bed. At night I sleep through the night on my
bed without asking out.

I have perfected potty training. I am now getting an A+. When I first came to the foster home
I had to wear what the humans call a bellyband. I never really needed it but I guess it is like
a seatbelt, it is there if you need it in case of an accident.

I heard the term "doggie bootcamp" mentioned when I came here but soon I will receiving my
private stripe. If you adopt me, I could be a 4 star general in no time! You must stand and salute when I wake from my nap.

Foster Sonny.

P.S. I hate foster in front of my name and being on the adoptable list. I want a home of my own.

Hello everyone. Once again Sonny here to update my blog!

After the winter gathering I came home to a new foster family. I hear they do that to see how we react in different situations and to see what type of forever home I will be happy with. I could really get used to the rides in the vans where I like to stand and look out. At times I like to stand between the seats and give kisses. Yes, I am a kisser, don't you just love to have your face kissed? Trips to Sonic are good also where I get something called ice cream!

I seem to have a new kickname. Foster dad calls me "Tater". I guess that is because I like to nap on the couch. He tells me fosters are not allowed on the furniture but hey doesn't furniture start with FUR? I sleep through the night on my bed next to the humans with the hounds that live here. While the humans are away I stay in my crate but that is not a problem either. I don't bark or cause a problem. Meal and treat time, I am first in line.

Dad was giving me an "A" on what he calls potty training. I got a little excited to see him when he came in from work and had a little accident while running happy circles. But to be honest I heard the resident hound Zane has been known to have the same thing happen.

I just turned two years old which means I am more active than some of the other hounds but that doesn't mean I am a bad doggie . I saw my reflection in the dishwasher last week and turned my head from side to side wondering who the other dog was. I love watching Animal Planet to hear the other dogs bark. Like a teenager, I also love my long-long naps. A cuddle nap is fine with me. Don't forget to scratch my ears!

Foster parents say they have had fosters for years and I am a keeper to the first lucky person that is interested.

Sonny.. aka Tater

My Birthday!

My foster mom just found out that last Saturday, the day we were all snowed in, was my 2nd birthday! Since I had to spend the weekend at Grassmere and didn't get to my foster home until Monday, my foster mom said we would celebrate my birthday starting today!! I think that means we get treats and stuff like that. I am looking forward to having some fun and will keep you posted on my activities. My foster mom said something about tracea chews. That sounds pretty good!!! Can't wait to eat my tracea treat!!!!
